Helena Weigand works as a patent engineer focusing on physics, optics, nanotechnology and electrical engineering.

Helena Weigand studied physics at the University of Regensburg, with stays abroad at Lancaster University and the Université de Montpellier. In addition to professional experience in the semiconductor and automotive sectors, she also completed further training in intercultural rhetorics. For her doctorate, she moved to ETH Zurich, where she conducted experimental research on optical nanostructures and metasurfaces at the Institute of Quantum Electronics. The results of this work have a particular impact on the fields of nanofabrication, sensor technology and data communication. Helena Weigand has been working for RENTSCH PARTNER since March 2025.
