Patent Engineer | M.Sc. Mechatronics and Robotics

Dorothea Cordes works as a patent engineer at the interface of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science.

Dorothea Cordes completed her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with an experimental bachelor’s thesis at the Fraunhofer Institute for Casting, Composite and Processing Technology IGCV. She also completed her master’s degree in mechatronics and robotics at TUM, an interdisciplinary program at the interface of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science. In addition, she spent a semester abroad at Imperial College London. During her studies, she gained extensive practical experience, particularly in the automotive industry. This included working for a leading US manufacturer of electric vehicles in Berlin for one year. Dorothea Cordes has been with RENTSCH PARTNER since January 2026.
