Of Counsel | Dr. rer. nat., Dipl. Phys., European, Swiss and German Patent Attorney

Joachim Lauer works as a patent attorney in procedures at the Swiss and foreign Intellectual Property Offices and is involved in various litigations. His principal activities are in the areas of physics, mechanics, electronics and civil, plant and food engineering.

Joachim Lauer has studied Physics at the University of Heidelberg and has participated in accelerator experiments at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg and at the Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung (GSI) in Darmstadt. During his following employment at the patent department of a mayor Swiss company he got educated as a European and German patent attorney and gained also practical experience in technology transfer in the license department of that company. After years of working in a in Zürich patent-, license and trademark office he founded his own office in 2002 and worked self-employed on all areas of Intellectual Property and Licensing. Joachim Lauer was involved in the education of European patent attorneys as a tutor for CEIPI and is still active as a tutor for the Zürich School for International Business. On April 1, 2011 Joachim Lauer joined RENTSCH PARTNER.
