Jens Ottow works as a patent attorney in patent procedures at the Swiss and foreign Patent and Trademark Offices as well as in patent litigation procedures. His principal activities are in the areas of power electronics, radio frequency technology, telecommunications, measuring technology, mechanics, power plants, domestic appliance, logistics and HVAC.

Jens Ottow studied physics at the Technical University of Braunschweig and got his diploma and Ph.D. there in the area of semiconductor physics and superconductivity. During his following employment at the patent department of a major Swiss company he got educated as a European and German patent attorney, worked for the Swiss PTT in the area of GSM mobile telephone standardization and was involved in the education of European patent attorneys as a tutor for CEIPI. After years of working at two Zurich law offices Jens Ottow joined RENTSCH PARTNER as a patent attorney on April 1, 2007.
