Counsel | Dr. sc. nat., Dipl. Phys. ETH, European and Swiss Patent Attorney, European Patent Litigator
Dr. Mathias Ingold works as European Patent Attorney with principal activities in the fields of physics, electrical engineering, sensor technologies and mechanics.
Dr. Mathias Ingold studied physics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETH) and received his Ph. D. from the Institute of Quantum Electronics in the field of optical computing. At the beginning of his industrial practice in an international electro-technical corporation, he did research and development for 5 years in the field of optical fiber technology with focus on optical sensors for current and voltage measurement. He started his education to become patent attorney in the corporate patent department and continued working from 1998-2001 in a private patent law firm in Zürich. Since 2001 he worked as industrial patent attorney in the field of electrical engineering and sensor technology. His local and global responsibilities covered all patent-related procedures including supervision of international infringement disputes, the management of large patent portfolios, and counseling on licensing contracts and IP-strategy. Dr. Mathias Ingold joined RENTSCH PARTNER in March 2019.
