Working as a European Patent Attorney, Christian Ebner focuses on chemistry, biotechnology, medicinal technology, process technology and mechanics.
Christian Ebner studied chemistry at ETH Zurich and specialized in the field of complex organic synthesis. After his Master thesis at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, USA, he conducted his graduate studies at the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry at ETH Zurich. His dissertation focused on the area of natural product synthesis, reaction development and the synthesis of bioactive target molecules. Christian Ebner joined RENTSCH PARTNER in January 2017.

- The Members of the EU Parliament have agreed to adapt the rules for NGT plants (New Genomic Techniques, i.e. plants which have been obtained by genetic engineering tools, such as CRISPR/Cas). In their proposal, the MEPs aim to introduce a complete exclusion from patentability for all NGT plants.
