The results are in: Christian Ebner and Philip Kerpen have officially passed the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) and are now European Patent Attorneys!
After an academic career that culminated in a PhD in organic chemistry at ETH Zurich, Christian Ebner joined Rentsch Partner in 2017 and has supported our life sciences team ever since. Due to the coronavirus, he was unable to sit the exam in 2020, but now he was finally able to prove himself.
Philip Kerpen joined Rentsch Partner in 2018 after studying physics at ETH Zurich and with experience as a consulting systems engineer. With his focus on ICT and electrical engineering, he is a key member of our Software Practice Group.
After waiting for months, the results are in: both passed all parts of the exam on their first attempt and are now representatives before the European Patent Office.
