Artistic shows, broadcasts & phonograms

  • Print

Artistic shows, broadcasting and the production of music and films are performances which serve the medium of works of tone, picture, film and music. These performances are, since they only tie up to a work, not protected by copyright. They enjoy, however, a performance protection, which as to its content and extent doesn’t go as far as the copyright.

Literary, musical or graphic work? Excerpt of Anton Bruckner's symphony No. 9, completed in 1902.
